Why wont the sound on my tv work?

TV sound wont work...why?

  • MY TV is hooked up to Dish Network's satellite cable system but the sound wil not work. The TV is SONY brand but is about 15 years old. THe sound works when playing Xbox or Playstation but not with regular TV...

    Hi Steven, I am sorry you are having a problem with your sound. One of the easiest things I have customers do is reset the receiver box. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds or unplug from the power for 10 seconds and allow the receiver to reboot. If your sound is still not back your will want to make sure the TV is not on Mute, that the cables are still connected properly on the back of the receiver and the back of the TV.
