Is my TV blurry because of my PlayStation 3?

Samsung UA40D6600 LED LCD tv for my PlayStation 3 gaming needs and watching hd movies and sports ?

Hye, im planning to buy a Samsung UA40D6600 LED LCD tv for my playstation 3 gaming needs and watching hd movies and sports such as football. The refresh rate of the tv is 400hz , is it good for sports and gaming ? I saw the tv at a store, but when i tested it for gaming, which the store guy plugged the ps3 through the hdmi cable to the tv, and tested playing the fifa worldcup 2010, it really looks ugly, as there is a lot of pixelated face of those man running when you control the game. Looks really bad and i was wondering if there is any setting to adjust when plugging a ps3 into the tv set ?
