Is there any way to get FOX channels outside the US?

Downgraded to basic cable but still get some other channels - any way to improve reception?

  • My landlady recently downgraded to basic cable after having a package that got more channels. However, I think maybe because it's a new TV with a digital tuner or something, it still gets some of the cancelled channels, albeit a little fuzzier. I was happily watching TLC (my weakness) for a few months, but the quality has gone rapidly downhill in the last couple of weeks. Does anybody know why we still get these channels? If so, do you know how to improve reception of them? Basically they're acting like a poorly-tuned-in channel using an antenna. TLC now has too much audio static for me to watch comfortably, and the picture's pretty grainy. Also, I know I'm asking for a better way to get something for free that you normally pay for. Isn't that what yahoo answers is for, anyway?

    If you are using standard coax cable then you can goto radio shack or find online a cable amplifier which will clean & increase the signal you are currently getting but will not add any additional channels.

I had that issue also,but now those fuzzy channels are actually gone. When the State or country stopped airing analog,stations only broadcast in digital,all of those old TVS needed a converter box,remember the coupons for people etc? The cable companies were all set,if one had cable to ones TV then there was no need for a converter box. The cable co was under no obligation,and is using this to play games. Now i need to call my cable company for a new box for my new HD digital TV !? Something Qum or Qam adapter - i guess the cable company is liable to get you what you paid for up until 2012,june 2012 or something like that,so the adapter will let you have TLC/Sci-Fi etc,but it sounds like a ploy to get you a digital box and HBO for only $9.99 more per month - my politicians let them hack at us
