Is 8 to 9 ft. too close to sit to 42in., 720p plasma tv?
-
I'm trying to arrange my furniture around our new tv and I want the optimal viewing distance. I keep reading that 10ft. would be best but I really don't have that much room, so would 8 to 9ft. work? Thanks.

Answer:
8' is pushing it. 9' is certainly better. For optimal viewing, check your actual measurements here: http://www.myhometheater.homestead.com/viewingdistancecalculator.html http://www.dtvcity.com/lcdtv/lcdscreensize.html I have a 50" plasma @ just 10' and I'd like to be back another 1'-2'!
