HD TV? LCD? LED?!!! - What does it all mean?!?!?!?

I am buying someone a new TV for a present (xmas!), and I have been looking around at various options. I wondered if someone could take the time to explain to me the different between the following, and what is best? * LCD TV * LED TV * LED backlit LCD TV ?! * HD TV Also, how do I know what packages are available to my friends address?

Valarie, They are all types of TV with different operating systems, its best you go to your nearest Argos Shop and get a Free Catalogue,go to first page on TVs and look for Argos guide to TVs. You will want a HD TV and aren't buying a Package as such, your Friends Address doesn't count in this Instance as you are just purchasing a TV for her. One Item you missed out was Plasma TVs (these use more Electricity)

Pure LED display is better than lcd,which is good for our eye,and energy efficient.There is 2 choices also hd ready or full hd.Full hd bears high resolution panel.If u want to buy a good led panel go for sony,or samsung they use s.pva panel one of the greatest led panel.
