What is wrong with my HDTV?

Can't get a picture on my HDTV. What's wrong with my set up?

  • I have a Samsung LE32R73BD [R] C t.v. which is connected to my Playstation 3 with a HDMI cable. The cable is a Monster M series M1000DAV HDTV HDMI Cable, which delivers up to 1080p with 32 bit colour. When connected the HDMI chanel plays the PS3 audio but does not show a picture. Can anyone tell me what's wrong with my set up? Have I got the wrong cable? Is it compatable? Thankyou

    My experience has been that this is a problem with the internal settings of both the TV and the PS3. Make sure the PS3 is sending 1080 i or p and the TV is receiving 1080 i or p. That notwithstanding, your cable is fine, if not a bit of overkill for this specific application. Rest assured the problem is not the cable. Also, try searching The Google before calling for 'customer service' from either company. 'Forums' online can be a lifesaver.

confirm that your on the correct inputs and everything is powered on. Then if possible check if another hdmi compatible device works on your tv and make sure ps3 is functioning properly. Also make sure all cables are connected securely. alot of times this can fix it. If not call samsung tech support
