What's the best 40 inch LCD HDTV for online gaming?

Hey I was wondering what's the best for gaming because in the living room my dad has an LG 50 inch plasma 1080i HDTV and my ps3 has a split second lag between when I press a button on the controller and when it actually responds and a forty inch would fit my room perfectly.
