How to program a GE universal remote?

Does anyone know the correct code to program a universal remote to run an old GE tv?

  • I bought a "ONE FOR ALL" universal remote for an old GE tv. The package said that it works for all brands. None of the codes in the manual work. Please help !!! Frustrated in Nebraska.

    If you tried all the GE codes & they don't work, then try using the RCA codes. They were both made by Thompson & I used to run into this problem when programming these remotes for customers.

My Best advice for you is to try and find and purchase the original remote control for the old GE Television. There has got to be someone out there or a site like http://www.remotecontrolscenter.com that has the original replacement remote control for this television. If you can't find it on that site, then try searching on google for this replacement. Trying to figure out the code for a universal remote that may just not even be able to operate your old GE is less productive than knowing your buying the original remote for that TV.
