How to make a video appear clear on the large screen?

Nothing was appearing on the tv so I press the 'apply' button to make the tv the main screen, which was stupid of me because nothing was appearing on the screen. Now I have a black screen on my computer because I have made the tv the main screen, I also have a black screen on my tv so I cannot see whats going on on my laptop. I am in safe mode at the moment, works fine. Does anyone know how I can get my laptop screen to appear again on the normal version? And just to add, I am using a HP G62 laptop.   You need to configure your laptop display to your TV. What is your OS? If its Window 7, try doing the following: Once you connected the HDMI cable to your laptop, press HDMI settings from your TV. from laptop, go to control panel / display / adjust resolution. You will see options if you want to duplicate your laptop screen to TV You will see this : Display /multiple monitors Multiple display - if you prefer to see the laptop screen on TV, choose "duplicate these displays" duplicate these display extend these display show desktop only in 1 (lwill appear on laptop screen) show desktop only 2 (will appear on TV only) Then click apply. If you want to go back on the normal version, just go back to settings or put off the TV first and unplug the HDMI cable from your laptop. When you open the TV, press TV mode again. Hope it helps.
