How can i get local channels in HD?

How do I get my local channels in HD?

• I have Dish Network in Tampa, FL. My local chanels are through D.N. also but I heard I could get these in HD somehow. Does anyone know how I can do this?? Thanks for your help.

  If you have a high def tv and the tv has a built in over-the-air (OTA) digital ATSC tuner, then you just have to hook up an antenna to the tV. If you live close to the HD broadcast towers, you may only need an indoor, cheap rabbit ear antenna ($10 at Best Buy or Walmart). Here is the important part. After you hook an antenna up to your tv, you have to SCAN for channels. The digital hd channels will have slightly different channels. For example, you local ANALOG nbc station may be channel 15. However, the DIGITAL nbc station would be 15-1. Good luck !
