How can I fix my plasma?

HDMI Inputs loose on Plasma TV, How can I fix this?

  • I have a newer (within two years) Samsung flat panel 55" plasma TV. It has four HDMI ports (three in the back, one on the side) Two of the ports on the back of the TV have somehow come loose and won't recognize anything plugged into it. Now when I plug an hdmi cable into one of the loose ports and move the cable (and the port) around in a wiggle type motion, I can sometimes get it to pick it up so clearly, the hdmi ports are loose in the back of the tv. Question is, how feasible is this to fix? I have no experience with this kind of stuff so I don't know if it's a simple fix (IE a few screws somewhere) or if it's more complicated to get the ports tightened back up to they aren't wiggling around anymore. Any help would be great as I'm not sure how to go about it.....if I need to find a repairman or if it's (hopefully not) something that just can't be fixed. Thanks

I'm believing that this would be quite difficult to fix unless you're a professional servicer. There may be some very critical soldering involved or a complete replacement of the assembly which would need to be done by a qualified Samsung service facility. This is purely an educated guess because I am not familiar with this particular Samsung problem.
