Why can't I tune to digital channels?

Have got new samsung lcd tv with freeview as present but cant tune into freeview channels have wall socket tv?

Free view is meant to automatically tune itself. There is a website for areas where it is possible to get freeview, but first make sure it's wierd in correctly.

Check that Freeview is available in your area. You can do this at the Freeview home page: http://www.freeview.co.uk/home If your area has Freeview coverage, you probably need to have your aerial adjusted, although I'd recommend getting an aerial specifically designed for digital reception and get it professionally fitted.

Is there an aerial on the roof connected to that wall socket? Is the aerial the type designed for terrestrial digital broadcasting? Is it pointing in the right direction?
