Nothing passed 99 and no dash channels. I havd a dash on my remote but it doesnt show on my tv I am going to get HD added to my cable but is there anyway i can get these extra channels maybe my settings are wrong i dont know. Any help is appreciated thanks.

  • Answer:

Those are QAM channels. You need to get a "ATSC / QAM / NTSC" tuner in order to get all analog and digital channels your cable provider has for free. (you still need the basic subscription) Those channels 100-1 + are digital. Usually you have to pay for them. They are the same channels as if you were too look up the listings for your area's digital channels but the numbers are different because with the digital tuner you get them for free. The tuners are not that expensive. And since you have an HDTV I suggest you go to the store and get one. ^_^

You need the HD added. It takes a special box to decode the HD frequency for the channels. I learned that the hard way.
