How to watch TV on my pc monitor?

  • My pc monitor (samsung sync master 510mp) has a tv input in the back, so i try to hook cable tv directly to it, like i would a regular tv. Then i go through the selections (pc, video, antenna and s-video) but the screen is still empty! What am i doing wrong? Is there something else i have to buy to watch tv on my pc monitor? Thanks

    You should only need to hook your cable into the back of the monitor, then press the SOURCE button on the front until it displays TV. From the on screen display, you can click on CHANNEL, then select AUTO STORE and enter. The tuner will detect and store all channels with reception. If the above doesn't work, then your monitor is not functioning properly. If you don't have the manual that came with it, you can download a copy at the link below.

you have to stop when the selection indicates "antenna". also make sure the display is powered "on". if it still does not diplay a video, the tv tuner might be defective. it is a separate component inside the monitor so it is possible to view a RCA, s-video and PC outputs but not tv.
