How do I program my Time Warner remote to my Emerson TV?

Emerson t.v and I have a Time Warner cable Remote.Where do i get the code to program the remote to tv?

I ran into a similar problem a while ago. TimeWarners website had some helpful information but if your only a novice techie like me, the fastest and easiest way i did it was by calling timewarner. Its a pain but its quick.
