How do I keep DLP screen clean?

I have a Samsung 50 inch DLP, keep getting a 'no signal" on the screen, what is needs to be fixed?

  • I have a Samsung 50 inch DLP Model# HL-P5063W, that works sometimes. I called out the cable company and they said that it is a problem with the television. Recently, I changed the bulb and the televison worked great. Now it works sometimes, when it doesn't work, I get a "no signal" on the screen. When this happens, I still can play Wii and watch DVD's. What do I need to do to fix this problem? Thank you.

  • Answer:

If you have cable then hit the cable button on your remote. It may read source button but your tv and cable have to be on the same time to work. Sometimes the cable just refuses to come on. So try this it should work. If not call your cable company to see if the cable is out. If that does not work call 1-800 726-7864 to talk to samsung support

You didnt say how old your tv is. These flatscreens only have a 3-5 yr life span. Not like the old dayz. Could have something to do with your cable box. Cable guys are liars.

is the source that keeps getting the "no signal" message connected via HDMI? if so, your HDMI cable may be failing. test with a known good HDMI cable. your wii connects via component and your dvd could be connected either by an HDMI, component or even composite cable! i also think if it was the bulb again, you wouldnt be able to even see the message! typically those bulbs either work or dont. it may just be a coincidence that the cable failed about the same time, or someone gave it a bump and it got reseated. hope this helps a little or at least enables you to cross something off your troubleshooting list.

first off.NEVER TRUST THE CABLE COMPANY. they will lie over and over to you. i would recommend taking a cable box (assuming you have cable boxes) from a dif TV and hooking it up to the Samsung. if you still get a no signal then its prolly not the cable and your TV and you could have a loose connection would be my guess.

Replace the coaxial cable running from the wall to your TV.
