How long does it take for a Bell TV receiver to activate?

My new TV and Bell TV Receiver won't work?

  • Anyone who's had Bell know they completely suck with customer service. I got a Fluid FLC2200 LCD TV/DVD for Christmas and have a Bell TV receiver (and satellite). When the TV is on "Source: TV" it says " Please run Channel Auto Scan" I've ran it 4 times. When the TV is on"Source: AV" a Bell page shows up and says "Bell ExpressVu... Point Dish/Signal... Look up your city in the appendix of your user guide for direction and elevation..." than 2 option to choose from. Tried both nothing happens. The receipt says to go to channel 191 for the self activation, but I can't on any of the sources. The "Source: TV" says "Please run Channel Auto Scan" and the "Source: AV" (and all the others) don't allow me to put in a channel.

The "autoscan" function relates to your tuner, and you ordinarily don't use your tuner with a modern TV and a satellite box. If you have connected the Bell box to your TV with AV cables (yellow-red-white(), your given info suggests that "Source AV" is the correct input, and it should work. The indications you are getting suggest that your Bell dish antenna and/or your Bell receiver are not initialized. Call Bell customer support and explain the problem. Once you've selected the proper input with your TV and have it properly connected to the satellite box, I don't say any problem with your TV.
