Why does my hdtv turn on then and then turn off?

Why does my HDTV not turn on?

• I attempted to turn on my tv and it will not turn on. I own a Samsung 330 Series 3 LCD TV. Model Code: LN32A330J1DXZA Serial No: AKZ43CDQ405796V Version: CK02 Was just watching it last night, hadn't even used today. Went to turn it on and got nothing. I tried in other outlets, still nothing. Cord is plugged in just fine, no tears or any strippings to the eye. I've owned this tv for a little over 3yrs now. Any help/advice is greatly appreciated folks!

  1. Test your power outlet to ensure it's providing voltage. Plug in a lamp or something. 2. Ensure the power cord is firmly seated on both ends. 3. No help? Try turning the set on with the power on/off button on the cabinet rather than the remote. (If that works, try new batteries in the remote.) 4. Still no help? You can try the following if you're comfortable with it, providing the set is not under warranty. If it's still under warranty, or if you don't want to do this, skip to step #5. Unplug the power cord, wait 15 minutes, then remove the back cover. Look on the power supply board (or power input area of the main board) for two very small fuses, tubular, maybe white in color, approximately 3/4 inch long. If you find them, carefully remove them and take them to a Radio Shack store (or similar) for testing. if one or both are blown, you can buy exact replacements at the store. The problem with this procedure is that you don't know why the fuses blew. You may put new ones back in and blow them also due to some other fault on the board. Finding that would take the next step. 5. The set needs help at a professional repair shop, unless you decide to recycle it. If it's under warranty, start the process.
