How do you clean a LCD TV screen?

How to Clean LCD TV Screen?

  • Up to now, I have only dusted our LCD TV screen, but now it has small grand-daughter's mucky fingerprints on it. Hubby has washed it with damp cloth, which did not remove fingerprints and has left screen un-clean (if you know what I mean). Our user guide has no instructions for cleaning the screen. Don't want to buy expensive dedicated screen-cleaner. Does anyone know what to use? Polish? Soapy Water? Glass Cleaner? What?....

  • Answer:

    Screen Wipes

i usualy use a damp cloth with a thiner dry cloth around it so the water can soak through and i genaraly remove any of my little-ones hand prints on mine(i should really mount it on the wall) or if its dryed in use a damp very soft cloth then go straight over it dabing it with dry kitchen roll. or you could just buy those screen wipes

For one thing do not use glass cleaner with amonia. Plain water and a soft cloth. You don't want to scratch the face of the tv at all. Also make your that no one touches the screen, they leave finger prints.

Look in your manual/ or on manufactures website for cleaning instructions as some cleaning fluids are OK to use but be warned if you have a plastic coated screen be very weary as ive heard stories of the screen 'bubbling' because of a chemical reactions.
