When is the best time to buy a LED tv ?

  • i passed on black friday and the crowds and now it's all the after christmas sales. Whens the best time to buy a new LED tv if money is my biggest concern? Do I wait til the new 2012 models come out and try to get a 2011 model at close out price?

    Black Friday is the best time, especially for lower-end units. Post Christmas, pre-Super Bowl, is the next best seasonal time. There's not really a calendar time for new yearly models -- happens year round at a pace that can be disheartening (although not as fast as tablets, at least). You can find your own good deal by taking careful account of the features you want and the various prices available at any given point in time. For example, unless you really know you'll want 3D, you can save the premium that 3D commands by optimizing for the best 2D picture, which you'll use most of the time anyway.

Tv prices are at their lows right now so now is a good time to buy. FYI they are not LED tv's they are LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) tv's back lit by LED's (Light Emitting Diodes) so they are LCD/LED tv's.
