Which is better DLP or 3LCD?

Should I get a DLP, LCD, or Plasma tv? Also do DLP screens look faded when looking at them from the side?

  • I am getting really drawn to the DLP tv's because of the great prices and the giant screens! I am just hoping I wont regret getting one, anyone have any comments to help me decide? Also if you have a DLP please let me know if you are happy with it. Thanks!

    I have a DLP - an RCA 61" I really like it. It was huge for how much I paid for it, and the screen quality is great. The only issue I have with it is that surrounding light can make it appear really dim, almost to the point of not being able to see the screen. But I do have mine set up for lower brightness/longer bulb life. That's probably a similar problem with all projection TVs. As far as side to side fade, my TV doesn't get that much at all. The screen is still viewable from a very high angle. It's more than enough to sit at any comfortable viewing angle. The fade on my DLP is up/down. If I stand up while watching it, that's when it fades a bit. It's not that bad, but it is noticable. Overall, I'd easily recommend getting a DLP.

Dude! if you want quality and so-so price,u r better of buying a LCD, that's the best u can buy, even though plasma are more expensive " better quality" if you want it to last longer go with the LCD TV, and the brand has to do with it too, so if u can afford a SONY, (recommended) but if not go with a SAMSUNG , LG, or TOSHIBA. hofefully this help u out.

LCD is taking over the TV market, and for good reasons. Great picture quality and a lot of bang-for-your-buck. I would recommend LCD I have on and its great. If you will be placing it in a sunny or light room I would go with LCD because it reduces glare, but for a darker room you could get plasma of DLP your choice.
