Signal problems with HDMI cable, PS3 and HDTV?

Is this a good HDMI Cable to connect from my PS3 to a Vizio 1080p HDTV?

I am getting the cable to enhance the visuals on some games i play on ps3, my cousin has a monster cable and it makes the game looks 2x better and even enhances the audio making it sounds different. So this is another question if you know; why does it affects the audio noises, because it sounds way better?

  Any decent quality HDMI cable will give you just as fine video and audio performance as the most expensive cables for short runs (i.e., under 10 feet or so). Above that, you start running the risk (not the certainty) of some signal degradation, which a more expensive branded cable should prevent. For the link above, that cable is probably fine, but it's super-low price concerns me a little. Still, you may want to try it and save yourself $30-60. And get the shortest cable length you need - extra cable is just that much more chance of degradation. If an HDMI cable is working properly, you will notice no difference between a Monster cable and a generic cable. Otherwise, any degradation will be obvious with blockiness in the picture and some sound cut-outs. Are you comparing your cousin's HDMI Monster cable to some other type of cabling option? E.g., digital HDMI to analog composite cables?
