How much does it costs to buy a TV commercial?

What is the best 50 "LCD flat panel TV to buy that costs under $1600? How do you decide what to buy?

  • Is Vizio a decent brand? It seems to be the most economical.

    There are no 50" HDTV LCDs for under $1600. Check Costco and see if they still have any of the Panasonic 50" plasmas left on sale for $1400. Great set!

Vizio is not a good brand - in fact, it is probably the most "economical" of any of the brands. The thing that you're getting when you pay for, say, a Sony or a Samsung is not just a better picture, but a longer life as well. The money that you put into one of those will easily pay for itself over time. Vizio's are known to have a lot of problems such as dead pixels (something that is common with LCDs but less prominent in the high-end models) that can't easily be fixed.
