What is the concept behind Lockerz.com?

Can you explain what you can do on this site and how to buy things? How is everything free? I just joined and got 500PTZ immediately. I tried buying an XBOX360 but it cost me $363 with a PTZ discount. So is this site really not free and only gives discounts or am I a noob and not understanding yet?
