What does Auto-Sap mean on tv audio?

If the tv says built in hd, does it mean its digital ready?

  • I want to go buy a new flat screen tv and want to know if it says built in hd, does it mean that it's digital tv ready and not analog tv? If the answer is no, how can I identify if a tv is digital ready?

  • Answer:

YES . you TV is HD ( High-definition television ) also DIGITAL TV. 1 ) DIGITAL ready . is mean you can connect via HDMI cable/ port for digital signals from blu-ray / cable box TV / PS/ X-BOX or received free view on air digital video broadcast HD channel ( DVB-T or ACST ) to enjoy HD quality pictures . the only source provide 1080P signals is blu-ray as this moment . DVB-T / ACST digital video broadcast HD channel and cable TV HD channel are 720P resolutions. 2 ) HDMI work well for 720P / 1080 P signals. connections: 2 x HDMI <----what does that mean???? is mean the TV able to connect to difference device by HDMI cable. Digital cable box TV / Blu-ray player / laptop or any items with HDMI out-put. select HDMI 1 and 2 from remove . 3 ) 2 type of HD TV . 720P resolutions or 1080P resolutions . 720P is standard models . technically , our eye will not getting any difference from 40 inc below screen TV between 720P and 1080P. however TV maker take 720P as standard models. 1080P models as mid / hi end models , better display panel , better video Enhance circuit make 1080P models much better pictures quality than 720P models even small screen 26/32 37 inc TV. if you looking for better pictures quality . even not via blu-ray , you need 1080P models even 26/32/37 inc TV. 3 ) Not all countries use digital video broadcast . for those countries who are digital video broadcast , all TV built in digital tuner ( ACST for USA / DVB-T for UK ) , just plug the antenna , is ready for free view on air digital HD channel. you question from Australia . Australia - PAL to be abandoned for DVB-T by 2013 . i am not sure if all the TV sold before 2012 built in DVB-T tuner ? if you get an TV with out DVB-T tuner , you need to buy an option DVB-T tuner after 2012 for free view on air channel . unless you paid for cable TV.

HDMi - high definition media interface is a cable which has the capacity to augment/increase the definition of the picture and sound. That information declares that the TV has two HDMi inputs it means that you can only use two HDMi cables with that TV. To know if a TV is capable of producing images at high quality is by looking at the Digital TV Certificate: HD Ready or Full HD also referred to as 720/60p and 1080p. If you see Full HD Ready it is referring to 1050p. HD Tvs are also analogue TVs, they still conform to the utilization of SCARTs and RCA cables (red, white and yellow). If you see 1920 x 1080/ 1366 x 768/ 1024 x 720/60p - it is showing you the resolution of the TV - the bigger the total the better the picture quality. If you only want the TV for mainly gaming then I suggest you don't buy a Full HD TV, what you do is purchase a HD Ready because these TVs tend to be cheaper, then purchase a HDMi cable or component video and connect the PS3/Wii/XBOX to the TV and THAT will be displayed in Full HD so you can save yourself over £100 from following that.

I'm sorry, I just corrected this persons answer on another post. All LCD, LED, Plasma TVs now are HD whether its 720p or 1080p. Also, all TVs will have the coaxial input in the back for straight cable if thats what you have. If you want HD, you will need an HD source such as an HD cable/satellite box, Blu-Ray, etc. 2x HDMI means that there are 2 HDMI inputs on your TV. HDMI is a HD cable that will transfer HD video and audio from your source (Satellite/Blu-Ray) You will only get High Def quality through satellite if you are subscribed to HD channels. Even if you dont get HD, your HDMI cable will give you 1080 lines of resolution (1080 horizontal lines of picture on your screen) where straight cable will give you about 200. All TVs now are both digital and analog ready.

Everything now is basically digital, has nothing to do with HD. In order to watch HD programming, you will need an HDMI cabl;e. Wheny ou get your new HDTV, there will be a manual with it and it will explain how to hook up the HDMI cable. Get crackin'

If the television has built in HD, it is Digital ready. HDMI means High-Definition Multimedia Interface, which is one cable that can connect your Tv, PS3, XBox etc without red, white and yellow cords.

That neans you don't need a box to make the shows that already show up on tv hd. Does not mean that everything you see will be hd.
