What are the lines on my plasma TV?

I justed purchased an 42" EDTV Plasma TV and I am getting faint white wavy lines on the screen.?

  • The lines are scrolling from bottom to top, two of them. I only have analog cable coming into my home, not digital and I was wondering if the cable lines to my house were weak?? Is there any way to correct this?? Would getting digital cable help? Or running new lines to my house?? or a setting on the TV( Samsung 42" EDTV PLasma with 800wt Samsung home theater system)

Getting digital cable will help, but what will help more is if you have an HDMI connection on the back of your TV and on your cable box. That is the best connection you can make.

IF it's in ALL your TVS...call your cable provider....their NODE amp has a bad Cap and Regulator....They need to replace it... Show them ALL your TVS....that way they can't blame it on the TV set.....then wait for 3 - 6 months while they do the yearly maintenance on the NODE amps..... That's what sucks.... And that's why I switched to Dish Network!!
