Cant get cable on HDTV, do I need a converter box?
-
I hooked up a new HDTV today with cable. I cant seem to get the cable to work on the tv. It works everywhere else in the house (using a splitter). My Mom swears that if the tv is HD it doesnt need a converter box. Do I need one or am I doing something wrong?

Answer:
In the SETTINGS in the TV's MENU you need to change from ANTENNA to CABLE, and it will work...

HD uses different coloured RCA adapters than standard analog. Try either switching the wiring arrangement or buy new RCA cables.
