Why can't I get tv back to normal?

Why cant dad get any sound on tv?

  • My dad has a Phillips flat screen tv he had comcast for cable had sound,switched to dish tv and has no sound now

    1. Is the TV muted, or is the sound turned all the way down? 2. Look in the TV's audio menu for an option to turn the internal speakers on or off. 3. Does the TV have a headphone jack? If yes, anything plugged into it? 4. Try the TV with another input, like a DVD player or an antenna. Sound still missing, or is it just when the TV is switched to Dish? 5. If it's only with Dish, look in the menu for the Dish receiver for sound options. There may be an option that blocks sound on whatever output is connected to the TV. 6. Nothing above helps? Time to call Dish customer support.
