Do I need to get cable to pick up TV channels in Quebec City?

I'm a cheap student who wants a TV to watch CBC etc for hockey night in Canada, etc. Can't stress the cheap part enough.

Brad: As you've received no answers, you might try posting this question in the Yahoo Answers "International Answers-Canada." By far, the very, very largest majority here live in the USA. In the Canada forum, you will be communicating with people who live there and have personal knowledge that may help. If you were in the USA, the answer is easy: if close enough to the signal, you could use an antenna for free OTA broadcasts, even in digital, but I just don't know if this applies in Canada.
