How to detect silence in audio files?

I need help LG (32LK430) LCD TV cannot detect video files on USB portable drive.?

  • I have an LG 32LK430 lcd tv that used to play videos on my portable drive a 500GB WD Elements (http://www.wdc.com/global/products/specs/?driveID=948&language=1). Currently the tv could only detect and play only music and slideshows for pictures. I had the drive plugged into my computer did some scans and check disk but the drive seems to be working fine. Tried reformatting on the same file format and left a single movie file in the drive which used to play on the tv but it wasn't detected. Generally the tv could detect the usb drive can play audio files and can preview pictures but cannot detect video files.

I have the same unit (LG 32LK430) and so far fortunately I haven't encountered the same problem, Our LG comes with 2 year warranty, the problem maybe the software behind the usb which keeps overlooking your movie files. Call your local manufacturer and they can re-install the program to make it work. Goodluck!
