How can you convert a coaxial cable signal to a RCA? Please help ASAP?

    To convert a coaxial cable signal (RF, 75-ohm) to a base-band RCA type connection you need to de-modulate the signal since the coax carries video and sound on a radio-frequency and the RCA carries either video or audio only on an electrical signal. One way to do this is by connecting the coax into a VCR, and using the RCA outputs from the VCR for your base-band signal. ** Note: the RF modulators suggested above will be fine for going from RCA to coax, but will not work in the reverse direction.

So even if you dont own a VCR buying one should run you about 30-40 $$ for a nice one for the purpose

you need an RF modulator. You can get one at walmart or Radio shack

Rob and William are right. If you are trying to convert a cable signal from the cable company to a yellow RCA style cable signal, the do exactly what they said, only after you hook it up, you will need to press the "TV/VCR" button on the VCR or VCR remote in order to activate the composite (yellow cable) output.
