How can I get sound on a video?

How can i get my video and sound in sync?

• i have dish network and the video is running through hdmi cable to my led tv and the sound is running through a high quality optical cable to my sony receiver witch goes to my sub and sound bar. the sound is coming about a tenth of a second before the video and it is really anoying. is there antthing that i can do to fix it

With the audio being out of sync, a few things can be done to resolve this issue; Make sure all connections are secured, unplug the receiver for 10 seconds and plug it back in (it can take up to 5 minutes for the receiver to fully power up). After the system acquires the signal and download of the program guide, check your channels to make sure they are in sync. If the issue is not resolved, press the buttons of Menu-6-1-1, select the Check Switch tab. Then you will want to select the Test tab, allow all test to complete and then exit out of all menus/screens.
