How to fix a TV remote?

Dropped water on tv remote how do i fix it.?

  • Ok water got on it but I thought it was a little bit then when I.woke up the remote wasn't working so I took out the batteries and put new ones in and it wasn't working so I tried to take them out and they burned me. Helllp how do I fix it? !?

    The "burning" batteries indicates a direct short between them--the maximum current makes them warm, even very hot for a while. Remote the batteries, see if you can wipe off or shake out any remaining moisture, then leave the remote opened up for at least a day in a warm, dry spot. A sunny window would be perfect. Then, install fresh batteries and try it.

You might try sticking the remote in a box of instant rice over night, the rice will draw out all of the moisture in the remote. If that doesn't work you may be SOL

Take out batteries and dry the remote with a hairdryer on low heat. Don't hold the dryer too close, if the remote's case gets hot move it further away.

take battery's out & dry remote on radiator to dry out / dropped my remote in water & this worked for me , if not working avukltd .com sell very reasonable price remotes ..................
