How do I fine tune my LG TV?

LG TV auto-tune results in 0 channels.?

  • Hi all, I'm at University and have had this TV working on digital since September fine. I use and Antenna Cable and it's been great for me. However yesterday it stopped working, then when auto-tuning it results in 0 channels being found. I don't think it's an internal error, as my HDMI still works with my PS3 and Laptop. I've also checked that all cables are plugged in properly. It was 'quite' windy yesterday here, so the only problem I can think of is the antenna on the roof has moved or been blown over? Any suggestions are welcome. I haven't contacted the Uni, because unfortunately I don't know anyone else with a tv on this floor that I can ask to see if theirs isn't working either.

  • Answer:

Go to the TV menu and highlight autotune, then use the up/down arrows until the word "digital" appears, then press the right arrow to select start then press ok and tuning will start.

The Antennae being damaged sounds like your problem. Have you tried re-scanning your channels? If you have a wire from a cable installation you can sometimes use that as your antennae, even if it's not active.

What strength does the signal indicator show? If it is down, then you will have channels missing. http://www.radioandtelly.co.uk/freeviewhelp/nochannels.html http://www.satcure.co.uk/tech/freeview_problems.htm
