What do I need to get the basic channels on my TV?

I have a Vizio (3years old) TV what do i need for it to get basic TV channels like NBC, ABC, CBS etc.?

    Go to antennaweb.org and put in your zip code to see which stations you can pick up with an off-air aerial. It will tell you if you need an outdoor antenna or indoor rabbit-ears antenna. If your Vizio has a digital tuner, you won't need a converter.

You need only an antenna. The fool who told you that you need a converter box is wrong. If your TV is 3 years old, it already has a digital tuner.

If your TV has a digital tuner, you only need a decent antennae to get the basic networks. If your set has the old analog tuner, you will need a converter box (appx $20-50.00)
