What's the cheapest price for an HD TV? (ANY KIND?

Whats the cheapest price for an HD TV??

• 720 or 1024. Please tell me of the best prices and/or best trademarks (sony, daewoo, etc). If you can, also tell me: do HD tv's only come in plasma and LCD, or are there also HD "box" tv's?

  I just saw an HD set going for about $400 on walmart.com. Its a great price for a 26" I believe it was. In any case I don't think you should get hung up on which brand is the best because in all honesty the technology is basically the same amongst the ranks, you just start to pay for the name. A few of the lesser known brands are actually under the umbrella of the larger ones. I've heard great things about Vizio which is cheap compared to a Sony of the same size (or even smaller). I myself have a 32" Poloroid which I bought last year for about as much as 37" are going for now. Meaning that the prices for, especially, the lesser known brands are dropping quickly. As far as tube sets being HD, heck yeah they still make them. I think some come with HD converters in them and others you have to purchase seprately. But, personally, I'd like to ask why would you want to buy a big bulky set anyway? Since the prices are about the same for either it just makes since to buy a flat panel.
