HD componant cable for xBox360 has 6 colors but HD TV with componant port has only 5. why ?
-
I wanna buy a 19'' or 17'' HD-Ready Tv for my xbox360 but i noticed that the componant cable has 6 endings but the Tv has only 5. a Yellow ending is the one that Tv's componant port does not have. If that Yellow one is for Video-In , so does that mean that when you connect your xbox360 to the tv via Componant cable and port, will that Yellow one be a loose wire hanging around with no use ? Thanks

Answer:
yes. the yellow one is for people who will not be using the component video. that's why there is a switch on the end closer to the 360 that lets you select betweed HDTV and STANDARD TV. if you are using component, then you set it to HD and if you use the yellow one then STANDARD. it just gives more of an option w/ the use of only one cable.
