How do i program my tv on my charter digital remote?

How do i program my charter digital cable remote(doesn't have a setup button) to my Scott TV?

  • i have tried everything that everyone else said and nothing works. it keeps switching back to the cable button from the tv button. Also, pressing select and mute together didn't do anything.

  • Answer:

uh if i recall correctly from 5 no maybe 6 years ago, LOL! select button might also be the ok button turn your equipment on, the tv.. and press and hold the {select} and {mute} button simultaneously for 3 seconds. the remote LED should start to blink then let go of the buttons (the remote blinks for a couple of min. point the remote at the tv and enter the 3 or four digit code into the it if you do it right i think the tv turns off to confirm that you set it up correctly then remember to press just the {select} button and the remote will blink 5 times or so and then once you pressed the select button it saves the 4 digit code for as long as you use that remote Scotts tv uses one of the following try them in order mark the ones that don't work 004 005 028 043 048 143 try holding the CBL button for 5-10 sec without pressing the other buttons and see if it starts to blink and try the codes if one of those codes works, then the tv will turn off with remote, freaky right? it it just doesn't work call and tell those people off that they gave you a bad remote or buy a universal remote
