The difference between a Hybrid Capacitor and a Digital Capacitor?

Whats the difference in a 150uf 450wv capacitor and a 150uf 450v Capacitor?

  • My Tv went out and I found out that the 150uf 450wv capasitor was bad. I want to replace it but cant find it anywhere. Im thinking the wv means working volts so would it be the same if I just buy a 150uf 450v Capacitor? Does the wv or v matter?

  • Answer:

the actual voltage on capacitor should be 300 volts or less. if it is an electrolytic type.....replace with correct polarity (+...- ). reverse polarity or choosing low wv explodes as a BOMB.

Other answers

wv is the (maximum) Working Voltage, v is the (maximum working) Voltage so a 150μF 400wv and a 150μF 450v capacitor are just the same.
