What's different about the new LED tv's vs. LCD tv's?

Do regular LCD TVs have a longer lifespan than LED TVs?

In general, LED lighting is more reliable than CCFL lighting.

CCFL will turn black slowly from two connect points,and the light turn yellowly.The LEDs backlight wouldn't have that problem and the lifespan could compear the LCD.So the LED backlight's TV is better.

LED TVs should have a much longer lifespan - mainly due the fact you don't need to replace the lamp used for backlighting like you do in a LCD set. Honestly though, if you get 10-15 years out of a TV, regardless of what technology it uses, you're doing quite well and by that time, we'll probably have gone to 3d holographic projection or something.

LEDs should last nearly forever, whereas CCFLs have a limited, although very long, lifetime.

You should experience the same lifespan as an LCD or plasma..(no problems pending.. Some estimates are up to around 60,000 hours..
