What is the best antenna to get for a digital tv?

What kind of antenna should I get for my digital TV?

  • I can't seem to get any local channels on my TV, so I'm thinking on getting rabbit ears. If I go to Wal-Mart and buy some, will I need to pick specific ones? Or should they all work since the Wal-Mart is located close to where I live? Thank in advance.

  • Answer:

RCA ANT1650 Flat Digital Amplified Indoor TV Antenna is small, easy to place and a breeze to use........ Picks up all the new DTV channels and if needed as an amplified connection....... Also comes in white if that color works better but regardless, it does its job well..... e

I'm pretty sure no one broadcasts in analog anymore. It's all digital. Analog meaning there's no signal coming from a big dish somewhere anymore like back in the day. Rabbit ears are useless.

You may call a TV antenna installer. He has an instrument named TV FIELD STRENGTH METER. He tests your roof. If the signal intensity is more than 60 db microvolt, he recommends a proper antenna for you. Also he chooses the best spot for antenna on the roof. Actually, he is my colleague.

Becasue a store sells rabbit ears TV does not mean you will be able to sucessfully use them. Start with antennaweb (linked by another poster), to see what antenna you should get.
