Difference between LED TV vs LED Backlit LCD TV?
-
Hi. What is the difference between an LED TV and an LED Backlit LCD TV? Can you really consider an LED backlit LCD TV an LED TV, or is it still an LCD TV which the picture quality is not as good as an LED TV? Thank you.

Answer:
It's the same thing. An "LED" TV is just an LCD set with a bank of light emitting diodes for the backlight. There are no "LED" TVs that form the picture with LEDs themselves, except for "Organic" LED (OLED) sets, which are not yet refined for the general market. They are incredibly expensive and the screens don't last long.
