How do I focus my screen?

Rear screen projection tv out of focus?

• My parents have a 52" widescreen RCA HD Rear screen projection tv, and it seems out of focus, the weird thing is it's only out of focus for about 5-10 mins and then it clears up, this only happens when turning it on after it's been off for awhile. The tv was bought about 5 years ago, is there a chance that it is time to buy a new one? Cost is a big thing to us, and we are assuming that the cost of any sort of repair could in the end be higher then buying a new lcd tv. Let me know what can be done to fix the problem or at least what the problem could be so we can look up costs unless you can give me an estimate. Thanks for your help it is greatly appreciated!

  If truly Out Of Focus, probably bad focus block. More likely a problem with convergence, bad solder joint(s) on flyback or ICs, defective convergence amplifier ICs, bias resistors and/or b-plus/fuses.
