    The plasma should give an over all better picture than the LCD. It is has a faster video response time and higher contrast perception. The newer plasma's don't have the burn-in problems. They fixed it. The glare can be resolved by buying a TV with a non-glare screen instead of a glass like finish. Though the glass finish looks awesome in a dark room with no lights on. It can be annoying in a lit room seeing reflections on the screen. Most LCD have the non-glare type. But you lose a little contrast and detail for it. Plasma tend to consume more power and have not been time tested like the LCD. LCD's are constantly being improved to get closer to plasma display performance. Plasma still has a edge over the LCD.

They're both equally good. Plasma has truer blacks that lcd, which make it better to watch in a dark room. Lcd's, however don't have glare, which are awesome if your tv is in a room with lots of windows. I have an lcd, and I love it. Also, plasma tvs have a potential for screen burn-in. So, if you play lots of video games, I'd steer clear of the plasmas.
