Why is my television suddenly turning yellow?

My Television has problems turning on?

• I purchased a Magnovox 32" HDTV about 3 or 4 months ago. The TV is having problems turning on. When it first happened, I disconnected it from the outlet it was connected to, and plugged it in another outlet, it worked for a while, but the problem resurfaced. I the,n changed the extension that it was connected to; again, it worked for a while, but the problem resurfaced. My hunch is that the electricity in the building is too low, because the Television was working good until it started to get hotter, I noticed that even the light is a bit dimmer than usual.

  TVs are MORE COMPUTER than they are TV nowadays.... That's why unplugging it makes it work fine for a while.... If you DO have a real problem, it likely is the power supply since it has to start up before you get your picture, and since your backlight panel is dimmer, it most likely is the backlight's power regulator is on the edge of the low voltage threshold....You might want to see if they can readjust the various voltages on the power supply. Take it to an AUTHORIZED Phillips Service station and tell them your story, then bring this answer with you.... ALSO take your ORIGINAL purchase reciept, they will need it to do the warranty repair.
