What is difference between a LCD,LED and a Plasma TV?

Answer:
The difference is in price, plasma most expensive by far, then LED, lowest price would be LCD flat screen. Plasma costs far more even when it looks close because it is disposable. When a plasma screen goes dead, all that you can do after about 7 years of service is throw it away. Plasma cannot be repaired or reinvigorated. When it is done, its done. LED is the latest new approach to TV technology, therefore it comes at a high price. LCD has been around since the mid 70s. Believe it or not Woolworths used to sell Timex LCD watches. An LCD tv has a florescent light bulb behind the screen. If you turn the brightness down just a hair, the service life can double. When the bulb dies, it can be replaced. LCD TV is the next best thing to a tube tv. For the money and the potential for simple repair LCD tv cannot be beat. The better brand would be Panasonic, they put in better parts. Right up there is Sony's Bravia line, they build everything in house by hand, the old fashioned way. At least they did just a few years ago. As far as which screen size is better 37-42" screens, if all else is even, which is a better buy? Is the difference in price worth the extra money? If money matters in the hundreds you may easily think that a 37" tv is just fine. lol. A larger screen can be more beneficial if the room is bigger. Screen size matters. If you happen to be no more than 8-10 feet away from the screen, scant difference in screen size when it comes to picture. I hope this helps. Best.

Plasma's strengths are price (at the high end, at least; low-end: LCD wins on price), contrast ratio, viewing angle, and refresh rate. LCD's biggest strength is price. LCD and LED-LCD's strengths relative to plasma are picture brightness, energy consumption, weight, lack of picture burn-in, and lifespan. LED-LCD's strengths relative to LCD: LED-LCD's consume less power, run cooler, are a little lighter, and provide better contrast, especially if local dimming is used. If that doesn't make your decision easier, you might be interested in what others are buying: LCD: 45% LED-LCD: 38% Plasma: 7% (I believe the remaining 10% bought CRTs, although I'd be hard-pressed to explain why.)

LCD-Liquid crystal dimension LED-light emitting diode Plasma-realy hot **** used to superheat rocket fuel to launch those big ******* to the moon what does all this mean. well, the most reliable will be an LED display which lasts for forever and a half, it is the lowest quality of the three and will be the lowest price. next in price would be LCD it has better quality than LED but worse than plasma. last really, really, really long but not as long as an LED TV. Plasma, which is so freaking hot if you were to pause a game and leave it on for a few hours it would burn a hole in your tv and probly burn your house down as well. dispite that it has the best quality and has the highest price. if you keep in mind that plasma is what makes rocket fuel and the sun hotter than hell then t should last long enough if you dont constantly have it on ****IMPORTANT NOTE*****-price range is not that big between the three i personally would go with the LCD best quality to price ration.
