If this lcd tv good for a ps3 console?

Should i buy a full hd lcd monitor or a lcd tv for my ps3 ?

i have a small room . i play my ps3 on a sd tv . so i want to move to hd . should i buy an alienware optx aw2210(21.5'' full hd monitor) or a lg ips paneled 26'' lcd tv (720p lcd tv). would i notice any difference in the 1080p and 720p at smaller displays . i would be playing on my ps3 from 3ft away from the display. please sugest or advice the solution . if lcd monitor then please mention a speaker system for connecting the ps3 . thank you in advance .(my budet is around 30k.)
