Samsung 51 plasma tv no picture only sound?

  • My 51 inch plasma tv from samsung suddenly stopped working (no picture). Sound is working and I can increasing and decrease volume and all other functions but cannot see anything on screen. The screen is absolutely dark, no flashes, menu, or source options (everything is black). Its only been a month since I bough this TV brand new from Walmart. There is power cable and hdmi cable connected on the back. What could possibly have gone wrong? how can I fix this? I noticed that other people were having the similar issue, but did not find a way to fix. Thanks!

    The HDMI cable or the port itself is probably damaged. Try taking out the HDMI cable and putting it back in.

Sorry your tv isn't working the way it should. However, if you are experience audio, but no video on your tv, there is only one thing to do to determine if service is needed on the television. With the tv on, press the menu button (either on the Samsung remote or on the tv itself. If the menu apprears, there is a problem with either the external device you have connected to the tv, or the cord. If the menu does not appear, the tv will need to be serviced. You can call 1-800-S-A-M-S-U-N-G for assistance. The hours of operation are Monday - Friday 8 am - 12 mindnight EST; Saturday and Sunday 9 am - 11pm

check it with another input......RCA tricolor....although you do not see menu but do operations logically with remote..... check it with a roof antenna.....if it is so....there is a trouble on video circuit. warning..do not leave free tip of a cable connected to tv....if it touches a metal part....heating radiator or window frame.........the av switching ic will be damaged.
