How much money do the satellite installers for direct tv make?

Just got a new tv, now trying to figure out how to hook up the antenna?

• We just bought a new 55 inch LCD HDTV, we used to have the old tube tvs so we are a little behind on technology. We are also getting rid of our satellite and want to hook up an antenna to recieve the local channels (trying to save money wherever we can). I don't want to sound like an idiot, but we are not electronic savvy, so I figured I would ask my questions here. I think I have figured it out, but I will not need that converter box we got years ago for the change the governement made, right? I am just wanting to make sure. As for an antenna, does it hook up directly to the tv? What is the best type of antenna to go with? Looking for something thats decently priced but will get really good reception. We live in a rural area out in the country, pretty much in an open area. Trying to look online but it seems like no matter what you buy now a days you end up with a million choices!
