Why is the Channel Cw not working?

Why is the channel CW not working?

I live in Houston Texas and the CW is channel 39. I have Direct tv and the CW works and its on channel 39. Unfortunetly we only have 3 boxes so i dont have Direct tv in my room so i use a antenna to watch. All the other local channels work except for CW. My antenna has a VHF and UHF and its amplified. I cant figure out why CW is not working i hope u guys can help me. thx in advance

Sometimes they don't actually TRANSMIT the channel...they are only assigned it. CW 19 in my neck of the woods became available to the public in 2004, but only on cable....not over the air. Try your Air/Cable setting on channel 39...you may get lucky, but they aren't building new OTA transmitters as far as I know...They'd piggyback it on another TV station if they could...
